The property is located in the busy Brynmill area. You can find pubs, restaurants, take-aways and local shops along the road and nearby in the busy Brynymor Road and St Helens Road. The property is halfway between Swansea University and the city centre. The Metro bus service stops by the local newsagent.

You have a choice of good shopping in easy walking distance, either in the busy Brynymor Road and St Helens Road area, where you can find a mixture of restaurants, take-aways, pubs and convenience stores, or in Uplands which offers you Tesco and Sainsbury's and another mix of places to eat and drink. The sea front of Swansea Bay is a short walk from the house. There is a bus stop opposite the house on King Edward road.

Distance from Swansea University

Car - 1.2 miles or about 5 minutes drive down Francis Street, right on to St Helens Road and right again on to Mumbles Road. The university entrance is then less than 1/2 mile on the right hand side

Walk - about 18 minutes along King Edward's road and on to Bryn road. At the end of Bryn road, turn left into Bryn lane. You can then choose to take the bottom entrance into Singleton Park to go in by the Singleton Abbey entrance or to continue along the main Mumbles road to the university.

Distance from Trinity St David's, University of Wales, Swansea

Car - A distance of about 1.6 miles, it is about a 7 minute drive. Go east along King Edward's Road till you reach the junction with Bryymor road. Take a right here and carry on to the cross roads with St Helens Road. Here you should turn left into the city. Carry straight on to the Kingsway and follow the one way system up to Mansel Street. Once you reach the police station, turn left and continue for 300 yards till you reach the Mount Pleasant campus entrance on the right hand side.

Walk - Walking will take you between 25 minutes and 30 minutes to the Mount Pleasant campus turn. Turn towards the city centre along King Edward's Road, and then cut across to Walter Road via Catherine Street and Duke Street. Follow the road East towards the city along Walter road and Mansel street and you will find the turning up to the campus just after the Tesco local store and opposite the police station on Mansel street.

Brynmill, with its mix of terraced houses, has long been the main student area for Swansea. Apart from students, it is mainly a middle class family area, chosen for its local schools and its convenience for the city centre and for the university. The walk to the university takes 10 to 15 minutes and the city is about 20 minutes away on foot. Several bus routes pass through here as well.

Composed mainly of Victorian and Edwardian housing, the area is hilly, but it includes good local shopping, in particular the shops of Bryn y Mor road. The Guildhall, St Helens Rugby and Cricket Ground, are important local features, and there are local churches and two parks in the area. There is no shortage of cafes, bars and restaurants serving everything from fast food to fine eating.
