Location

Located in a busy student area of the city, the property overlooks the famous St Helens rugby and cricket ground and the sea, and it is not far from the popular Cricketers pub. There is good shopping in easy walking distance in the busy Brynymor Road and St Helens Road area, where you can find a mixture of restaurants, take-aways, pubs and convenience stores. The sea front of Swansea Bay is a short walk from the house. There is a bus stop at the nearby St Gabriel's church for the services 42, 43 and 116. Distance from Swansea University Car - 0.7 miles, a drive of a few minutes down Bryn Road, turn left on to Brynmill Lane and then right at the traffic lights on to the Mumbles Road. Walk - You can follow the same route on foot or choose to take the alternative path across Singleton Park to the Singleton Abbey entrance to the University. The walk takes about 13 minutes. Distance from Swansea Met Car - Just over 2 miles. Head North east towards Finsbury Terrace, then down Gorse Lane to the Mumbles Road. You pick up the Guildhall Road towards town, and stay on this and the connecting roads until you come to the Kingsway. You can then turn up on to Mansel Street which puts you in striking distance of the campus up in Mount Pleasant. Walk - 1.7 miles. The walk is just under half an hour up King Edward's Road, Catherine Street, Duke Street to Walter Road and Mansel Street, from where you can walk up Mount Pleasant.

City Centre

Swansea has a great reputation as a city for students and there is something for everyone to see and to do. The people are renowned for their friendliness, there are plenty of shops and a great nightlife. Swansea Bay is beautiful while the nearby Gower is one of the hidden secrets of the UK. The beaches are as good as anywhere in the UK. If you prefer to go inland, you will find the stunning scenery of the Welsh valley, hills and mountains. Road and rail links to the rest of the country are good.
